The University Library at ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»® provides staff, students, and the public access to scholarly and artistic publications and our special collections. We facilitate open access to research and research data, and collaborate in ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»®'s educational programs.

We provide library spaces for study activities, exploration, and discussions, creating an inclusive academic and social arena.

The Social Sciences, Music and Psychology Library is open 24/7 with access for all students and staff at the University of Bergen from April 28th.

The University Library of Bergen's special collections

The Department for Special Collections forms part of the University Library of Bergen, itself a continuation of the old Bergen`s Museum`s Library, founded in 1825. The Special Collections incorporates gifts, donations and acquisitions of images, especially photographs, manuscripts, diplomas, maps, antiquarian books and newspapers.
