Research support at the Department of Chemistry

Here you will find information about what to do when planning to submit a research application and who works with research support at the department and at the Division of Research and Innovation (FIA)

Main content

The following applies to all applications:

  • The application must be registered by submitting the聽聽at least 4 weeks before the deadline. This applies if the Department of Chemistry聽is the coordinator at 幸运飞艇计划. If another department at 幸运飞艇计划 is the coordinator, the application must be registered at this department.
  • The budget must be quality assured by the project economist
  • The application must be approved by the department management before it can be submitted.

Timeline for administrative steps when submitting a research application (indicative)聽

  • In the planning phase: Contact the department's research support section (see right column)
  • 4 weeks before the application deadline: Submit this form as soon as you plan to apply for funding (no later than 4 weeks before the application deadline / planned submission date):
    • The application will then be registered in the project application module and a project economist will be assigned to the project.
    • The budget can then be prepared in collaboration with the project economist in line with the TDI model
    • If applicable, provide access to the research advisor and project economist in the application portal (NFR, espresso, EU Funding and Tenders portal)
  • 1 week before the deadline: The completed budget is sent to the department management (head of administration) for approval.
  • Last week before the application deadline: Completion of formalities ("Letters of intent", "-support" etc) can only take place AFTER the budget has been approved.
  • Upon submission: A copy of the application is sent to the research advisor.
  • After submission: Notify the research advisor as soon as you have received feedback on whether or not the project has been awarded.

The administration does not check the academic content, but will quality-assure applications as they bind the department financially.

The institute works closely with the central team for external funding (BOA), which has special knowledge of the NFR's major programs SFF, SFI and INFRASTRUCTURE.
