The faculty hosts the secretariat of the Norwegian marine university consortium

The faculty consists of seven departments who together represent the foundation of our research and education within disciplines such as mathematics, chemistry, physics, computer science, geoscience and life sciences, and with cross-diciplinary emphasis on climate, energy and marine research and education.

Seven EU-funded postdocs to Bergen

The University of Bergen (ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»®) will host another seven international research fellows after a very successful application round in this year’s competition for MSCA funding from the EU. The grants will fund the researchers' stay at ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»® for two years.

Prestigious Award to Two ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»® Researchers

Tom Langbehn and Leonardo Muniz Pichel, both from the Faculty of Science and Technology, are this year's recipients of the TMF Starting Grant. They will receive the award as part of the Trond Mohn Foundation's anniversary celebration in the University Aula on December 6th.

Here are the candidates running for the NT-faculty board election 2025

In the spring of 2025 general elections will be held for the faculty board and department councils at the NT-faculty. We will have completely new boards this time. For Gr. A and C the election period is 4 years, while for Gr. B and D it is one year. The new board period starts on 01.08.2025.

Doctoral education

Faculty of Science and Technology offers doctoral education within the following disciplines: biology, chemistry, earth science, physics and technology, informatics, mathematics, molecular biology and geophysics. We also offer doctoral training in collaboration with several partner institutions.
