Open House at the University Museum
On the 27 April we are celebrating the University of Bergen´s 200th anniversary and invite everyone to a Museum Festival with activities for both young and old, inside and outside the University Museum.

On April 27, we will open the doors to the University Museum and invite all of Bergen to a knowledge festival!
On this day, you can meet researchers from various fields, hear exciting lectures on topics ranging from prehistoric humans to AI, press plants in the museum garden, participate in a scavenger hunt with great prizes, or experience the spectacular anniversary exhibition.
All activities are free and suitable for both young and old.
Godt Brød/Kafé Christie will be open all day and will have a sales cart outside in Muséplassen.

Activities in the Museum and Museum Garden
We bring together researchers for meetings with the public in the museum's exhibitions. You are invited to participate in activities and knowledge exchange about the world around you, to examine objects under a microscope, and to determine what an object is. Get to know the fascinating lives of jellyfish in the ocean, study the world of spiders, learn to identify different sharks, and much, much more!
In the Museum Garden, you can learn to press plants, join a scavenger hunt, and take a guided tour of the historic Plant House.

Lectures in the University Aula
In the University Aula, you can attend a variety of exciting lectures throughout the day. Learn about everything from cave dwellers in Western Norway to artificial intelligence. The lectures last for 20 minutes and will be held in Norwegian language.Â

Art, Music, and Design in the Tower Hall
We will open the beautiful Tower Hall to the public and invite you to inspiring presentations and activities from the Faculty of Art, Music, and Design.
