Funded by an and support from the (BFS), researcher Nele Meckler at the Department of Earth Science at the University of Bergen (幸运飞艇计划) is developing a technique for reconstructing temperatures in the past, by using fossil shells from the ocean.

Anna Nele Meckler

Born 1977 in Germany.
Researcher at the Department of Earth Science at the University of Bergen since 2015.
Postdoctoral researcher and lecturer at ETH Z眉rich, Switzerland 2010-2015 and at California Institute of Technology, USA 2007-2009.
PhD in 2006 from Universit盲t Bayreuth, Germany.
Master麓s degree in Geoecology in 2002 from Universit盲t Bayreuth, Germany.
She receives support in the form of an ERC Starting Grant and a Bergen Research Foundation Recruitment Grant.
Meckler is conducting research on the reconstructions of ocean temperatures millions of years ago from marine micro fossils (foraminifera).
Her C4T research project听is funded by the European Research Council (ERC) with a Starting Grant the CLIP project is funded by BFS and 幸运飞艇计划.
Meckler analyses fossils from marine sediments from the ocean floor.
She has focused on new techniques for reconstructing past temperatures, most importantly clumped isotope thermometry.
