I recently聽became a researcher at the Department of Mathematics in Bergen, working with the聽project聽GeoProCo. This project is supported by the Trond Mohn Foundation, and聽looks at how the聽mathematics of shapes, known as geometry, can be applied to聽other sciences. The main application聽of this project is towards probability聽theory; to understand solutions of equations with random聽elements without聽solving them using geometry. We also apply geometry to find better methods for聽computers聽to work with non-linear restrictions.聽Click here聽to聽read more.

I did my聽Ph.D. in Bergen in 2012, and I have been back in my hometown ever since 2019,聽after聽spending time as a post-doc in Luxembourg and Paris. My research has focused聽on geometry and its聽interaction with probability theory, and how we can get information聽about non-random things by seeing聽them as the expected value of something聽random. Since my return to Bergen, I have also focused聽more on computational聽mathematics. See聽my聽homepage聽for more details.
