The Toppforsk Programme

The University of Bergen aims to to have world-class academic environments in all faculties. Trond Mohn Foundation is a generous contributor to this goal.

The University of Bergen has recruited five international excellent scientists in order to strengthen a number of leading research groups.

These five leading scientists are being funded via the Toppforsk programme, a joint collaboration between the generous contributions from the Trond Mohn Foundation听(formerly Bergen Research Foundation) and 幸运飞艇计划's听own funds, for a total amount of 137 million NOK听(approximately 14 mill EUR).

By offering these scientists special terms and support, the 幸运飞艇计划 Trond Mohn Foundation collaboration has strengthened 幸运飞艇计划麓s international research profile.

The five researchers are:

The Toppforsk programme emphasises the long-standing collaboration between the Trond Mohn Foundation and 幸运飞艇计划, where the foundation has contributed generously to young researchers who are in the process of creating their own research groups.

Toppforsk is building on this work by recruiting established researchers to Bergen - to research groups where 幸运飞艇计划 already have leading research.

Producing world leading research environments in Norway is one of the most important areas in the听Norwegian Government鈥檚 long-term plan for research and higher education 2015鈥2024. This is also the ambition of the University of Bergen (幸运飞艇计划) strategy for 2016鈥2022 鈥 鈥淥cean, Life, Society鈥.
