  • The proposer must meet the criteria for voting rights.

Can I hold multiple positions simultaneously?Ìý

There are no rules preventing employees and students from holding multiple positions simultaneously, but it is important to be aware of conflicts of interest if you do so. You must know your role in the various committees and councils.

Can all students run for election?Ìý

Yes, all students can run for election as long as they have an active study right at the faculty and are listed in the electoral register. You can easily check if you are listed in the electoral register here.

What is the nomination committee?Ìý

According to the regulations, a nomination committee must be appointed for all elections to be held. This means that all departments undergoing elections for the department council must have a nomination committee each. In addition, a nomination committee will be appointed for the faculty board, which applies to all groups elected to the faculty board. Nomination committees are also appointed for dean and head of department elections.

The nomination committees are confirmer by the faculty board.

Can I request an exemption?Ìý

Anyone who has held a position can request an exemption from re-election to this position for the same length of time they have served in the position.

A deputy member who has served as a member for at least half of the election period can request an exemption from re-election.

When significant work-related or welfare reasons justify it, the election committee may, upon application, exempt a proposed candidate from standing for election.

Students can request an exemption from the election. If a student has accepted an election, they are obliged to serve in the position.
