Serdarevic combines labatory research and survey studies as she finds "environments that encourage dishonest behaviour can compromise intrinsic honesty by altering beliefs about what is considered socially appropriate behaviour".听
The first experiment presented was carried out in DIGSSCORE's Citizen Lab. The results document variability of reporting behaviour between different environments in a dice-rolling game.听The second experiment goes further, by asking聽a representative sample of Norwegian citizens to elicit the underlying injunctive norms governing reporting behaviour in the three variants of the game.
