Our steering team is strongly rooted in the science-policy interface through policy advice and active engagement with the following organizations and initiatives:

Inger MÃ¥ren holds the UNESCO chair forÌýSustainable heritage and environmental management and actively engagesÌýin the science-policy interface through:

  • ³Ù³ó±ðÌýÌý(Vitenskapskomiteen for mat og miljø)
  • the National UNESCO Commission, Ministry of Education and Research
  • the (MAB) Programme Commission in Norway

Vigdis Vandvik isÌýactive in the science-policy interface, with particular focus on alien species. In Norway, through commissions for

Norway's follow-up to the Nature Deal

In December 2022, 196 countries signed the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework (short: the nature deal). In September 2024 Norway presented their plans for nationally implementing the nature deal, in «Stortingsmelding nr 35. Bærekraftig bruk og bevaring av natur». CeSAM has followed the process closely.ÌýHere are our most important contributions.
