In 1825, Parliamentary President Wilhelm Frimann Koren Christie founded Bergen Museum. The museum was an important precursor and foundation for the establishment of the University of Bergen in 1948.
In 2025, the museum will have over 5 million items in its collections. The University of Bergen has a total of 8 faculties with 4,000 employees and 20,000 students.
The 200th anniversary will be celebrated through a series of events and exhibitions for all ages in and around the University Museum at Nyg氓rdsh酶yden.
