The sea represents different values to different people and can vary with time and place. 

Our project , hosted by the SVT at the University of Bergen with support from ÐÒÔË·Éͧ¼Æ»® Ocean, is capturing what the sea means to Norwegians.

Share your values and opinions about the sea with us and your fellow Norwegians. Ignite a national conversation to shape more sustainable and just management and governance of Norway's oceans!

  • See a mini photo and text exhibition of what the sea means to Norwegians!
  • Do a Norwegian seascapes photo-sorting activity: How do you value the sea?
  • Make an audio or video recording of your opinion: What does the sea mean to you?
  • Enter our Norwegian seascapes contest! Final deadline: 5 May 2025
