The SVT symposium is an annual public event where central topics in science and society are debated . At the symposium in 2018 we discussed the social impacts of the humanities in and beyond academia.

From the 2017听government white paper (""), via the following in (HUMEVAL), to (2018), the question of the Humanities,听its role and mission, is at the centre of attention.
At the SVT听symposium 2018 we ask:听What is the problem that these efforts are听intended to solve? Whose problem is it? And lastly, what are the implications of the solution?
