Announcement: Elections at the Faculty of Social Sciences 2025
During Spring 2025, a new dean, new heads of department, and new members to the faculty board and all department councils at the Faculty of Social Sciences will be elected.

Electoral Register
To be able to propose candidates or to be allowed to vote, you must be in the electoral register at 幸运飞艇计划, according to the Election Regulations 搂 6.

Election Form
The election is held as a preferential vote.
For groups A, B, and C, electronic voting is held unless the number of candidates nominated in a group matches the number of members and deputies to be elected, and the proposals specifies who is proposed as members and deputies. In such cases, the election is conducted by the outgoing body (faculty board or department council) as the electoral assembly. For group D, the students, the election is held in an electoral assembly organized by the Student Committee.
Election of Dean听
The dean and vice dean are elected as a pair.
Permanent employees in teaching and research positions, and heads of departments are eligible for election as dean.
For a proposal to be valid, the following requirements apply:
- The proposal听must include both a dean and a vice dean candidate.
- The proposal听can have up to 5 proposers but must have at least 3 eligible faculty employees or students.
- No proposer can sign more than one proposal.
- A proposer cannot propose themselves as a candidate.
- The proposed candidates must be eligible (see 搂 8 Eligibility and Right to Request Exemption in 幸运飞艇计划鈥檚 election regulations).
- If a candidate who can request exemption from the election is proposed, the proposal must be accompanied by written consent from the candidate.
- The proposal must be in writing and clearly state who the proposer(s) are. The proposal is sent to . If there are multiple proposers, it is sufficient for one of the proposers to submit the proposal. The election committee will request confirmation by email from the other proposers afterward.
The nomination deadline for dean is March 17.
Election period for dean: April 28 at 09:00 - April 30 at 12:00
Election to the Faculty Board听
New representatives will be elected to the faculty board from all voting groups. From group A (permanent academic staff) and group C (technical/administrative staff), representatives will be elected for the period 1.8.2025 - 31.7.2029, and from group B (temporary academic staff) and D (students) for the period 01.08.2025 - 31.07.2026.
To the faculty board, the following will be elected:
- Three members and at least two deputies from group A
- One member and at least one deputy from group B
- One member and at least one deputy from group C
- Two members and at least two deputies from group D
How to Submit Proposals?听For a proposal to be valid, the following requirements apply:
- The proposal for a candidate to the governing body must be submitted by at least the same number of proposers as the number of candidates in the proposal.
- The proposer must have the right to vote in an election to have the right to propose a candidate for the same election (groups A, B, and C each constitute their own electoral district).
- No proposer can sign more than one proposal.
- A proposer cannot propose themselves as a candidate.
- The proposed candidates must be eligible (see 搂 8 Eligibility and Right to Request Exemption in 幸运飞艇计划鈥檚 election regulations).
- If a candidate who can request exemption from the election is proposed, the proposal must be accompanied by written consent from the candidate.

Election period for electronic voting to the faculty board: May 12 at 09:00 - May 15 at 12:00.
For group D, the students, the election is held in an electoral assembly. The election of members from group D is organized by the Student Committee at the Faculty of Social Sciences.
Election of Head of Department听
New heads of department will be elected at all departments at the faculty. Permanent employees in teaching and research positions at the department are eligible for election as head of department.
How to Submit Proposals?听For a proposal to be valid, the following requirements apply:
- The proposal must be signed by at least 3 employees and/or students with voting rights at the department.
- No proposer can sign more than one proposal.听
- A proposer cannot propose themselves as a candidate.
- The proposed candidates must be eligible (see 搂 8. Eligibility and Right to Request Exemption in 幸运飞艇计划鈥檚 election regulations). If a candidate who can request exemption from the election is proposed, the proposal must be accompanied by written consent from the candidate.
- The proposal must be in writing and clearly state who the proposer(s) are. The proposal is sent to the election secretary .听If there are multiple proposers, it is sufficient for one of the proposers to submit the proposal. The election committee will request confirmation by email from the other proposers afterward.
Nomination deadline: May 5 at 12:00.
Election period for electronic voting: June 2 at 09:00 - June 5 at 12:00.
Election of Department Council听
New Department councils will be elected at all departments.
As a general rule, the department councils should have the following size and composition, in addition to the head of department:
- Four members and at least two deputies from group A (representatives of permanent employees in teaching and research positions)
- Two members and at least two deputies from group B (representatives of temporary employees in teaching and research positions)
- One member and at least one deputy from group C (representatives of technical and administrative staff)
- Two members and at least two deputies from group D (students)
