The annual Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) is an interdisciplinary venue forÌýPhD candidatesÌýwho want to explore some of the big challenges of our time.Ìý

Faced with worseningÌýsocietal and environmentalÌýcrises, we will next summer ask how researchÌýand evidence can help us createÌýthe best foundation for ourÌýchildren?Ìý

Inspired by the UnitedÌýNations’ , "childhood"Ìýis the common theme ofÌýour five parallel PhD courses on health, nutrition, education, caregiving, and migration.

Together with joint sessions on systems thinking and creative interdisciplinary problem-solving, crosscutting keynotes, and social events, we offer 100 PhD candidates an opportunity to develop their skills for actionable knowledge.ÌýThe focus is onÌýresearch impact, andÌýthese sessionsÌýfacilitateÌýinterdisciplinary collaboration.
