The annual Bergen Summer Research School (BSRS) is an interdisciplinary venue forÌýPhD studentsÌýwho want to explore some of the greatest challenges of our time.ÌýDue to the COVID pandemic and the persisting restrictions on international travel, BSRS 2022Ìýwill be organised as a virtual research school.

This summer, sixÌýparallel disciplinary courses will focus on key global challenges, includingÌýclimate change and mobility;Ìýgovernance and inequality;Ìýeconomic experiments inÌýdeveloping countries; higherÌýeducation and the arts; foodÌýsecurity; and gender, justiceÌýand environmental crises.
In addition, there wil beÌýspecial interdisciplinary sessions connecting the participants of the six PhD-courses aroundÌýsystems thinkingÌýand creative interdisciplinaryÌýproblem-solvingÌý²¹²Ô»åÌýprojectÌýmanagement. ÌýÌý
Together with cross-cutting keynotes and virtual social events, the courses will help 100 PhD students develop skills to create actionable knowledge.
