Main content

With the Global Seminars we will create an arena where global research taking place at the University can meet qualified critique and spur debate. It will be a place for researchers and students to exchange knowledge and inspiration.

With no clear-cut definition of what 鈥済lobal鈥 research is we apply a wide understanding of the concept. We welcome everything from discussions of the post-2015 Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) to studies of ancient texts revealing traces of cultural encounters in a distant past.

Everyone is welcome to participate and engage in the discussions and anyone may present his or her (or their) study, whether it is in spe or a finalized report. Moreover, theoretical, methodological, empirical or any other angle is welcome.

The seminars will be held in 幸运飞艇计划 Global's seminar room in Jekteviksbakken 31 at 14:00-15.30 every other Thursday with post-seminars once a month.

We will start with just a few presentations this spring but aim at a more comprehensive programme in the autumn. If you want to participate in any way (give a lecture or present a book) please contact: Hans.Aasmundsen@adm.uib.no
