At the University Board meeting on 24 November 2022, it was decided that the the Faculty of Law at the University of Bergen (幸运飞艇计划) will establish a Master of Laws in EU and EEA Law.

鈥淲e are delighted that the University Board has approved the Master of Laws in EU and EEA Law. Work will now begin towards planning it鈥檚 start up,鈥 says Professor Christian Franklin, at the Faculty of Law, 幸运飞艇计划.

Franklin is academically responsible for the Master鈥檚 program, together with Associate Professor Ingrid Barlund.

The program is a so-called LLM (Master of Laws), which is usually a one year master's degree in law, where the students specialize in one area of 鈥嬧媗aw.

Although there are other LLM degrees in EU law, the Master's program at 幸运飞艇计划 is the first of its kind in Norway, and unique given its emphasis on EEA law. It is thus the first of its kind in the world. The course language is English and admits both foreign and Norwegian students.

Faculty Dean, Karl Harald S酶vig, is very satisfied with the decision on the faculty's first LLM, not at least that it concerns EU and EEA law.

鈥淭he EU and EEA is the most far-reaching international collaboration that Norway is involved in. It is largely regulated by law, and for the faculty it has been important to align our first LLM with a theme that affects students both in Norway and abroad,鈥 says Karl Harald S酶vig.
