Research and teaching at Centre for International Health bridges departments and faculties at the University of Bergen and is conducted in partnerships with national and international institutions.
In line with the SDG agenda, Centre for International Health focuses on collaborative research and capacity strengthening to promote improved health and equity.
Established in 1988, the Centre for International Health at the University of Bergen is an inter-Faculty Centre for research and training within the field of global health.

Centre for International Health is organised under the听
Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care听and the听Faculty of Medicine.
In addition to working with colleagues in our own and other Departments and Faculties at the University of Bergen, we have close collaborations with many national and international institutions, particularly in low and middle income countries.
CIH hosts a听Centre of Excellence, the听Centre for Intervention Science in Maternal and Child Health听(CISMAC).
